WTSR Social Media

WTSR, 2020

I was accepted into the position of Social Media Director in early 2020 for The College of New Jersey’s public radio station, WTSR, and was tasked with managing/designing graphics for the club’s social media accounts.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in April, the board of directors had to come up with a plan to continue WTSR without having access to the physical station. I turned my attention to instagram, and started thinking of ways to increase community engagement.





I created interactive “music tag” stories, as well as rethinking and redesigning how WTSR announces the album of the week. A pre-existing activity at the radio station that used to only be announced within internal communication channels, could now be used as a means of attracting possible new members, and increased community engagement by opening up polls through instagram’s story features.
